    If I get LASIK, I don’t want to be conscious to see them doing this to my eye. Dx

    I had lasik done about four years ago and the surgery itself was nothing like I had imagined watching these videos. I was scared that I’d feel and see the “knife” itself but in reality the best way of describing it would be to close your eye while touching the eyelid. nontheless, it’s still a risky surgery and something to think twice about before rushing into

    @TintoreraRacing Did everything turn out ok for you?

  9. TintoreraRacing says:

    @egg9man I had rather dry eyes for a few weeks after the surgery which in turn caused my sight to vary from nearly perfect to good some days, I also think it might have caused a light halo effect from bright light sources in dark areas that I sometimes had. A drop of saline solution always took care of that though.

    After about 6-12 months there was still some dryness from time to time but not nearly as much and eventually everything turned out ok as i now have a near-perfect vision.

    Oh my god this looks terrifying!! Does that tool keep you from moving your eyes? Because I’d keep moving them away when they get near my eyes, and I’d be screaming as hell! DD;

    I just had LASIK done May 3rd and am sooo happy….I too was scared about going blind or something going wrong..It turned out ok though…I can totally see almost perfect…still healing…the only thing my Dr. didnt tell me was that when they put that suction cup on your eye…it hurts alittle..little uncomfortable but worth it…its over so quick its amazing…. totally worth every penny….

  22. velocity246 says:

    I know that it is often safe. But I am NOT taking any risks with my vision. Like with any surgery, there is always risks. And I don’t want to take my chances.

    Yes, it’s a bit of a hassle to put on contact lenses every morning, but it’s not that bad!

  23. Fucaah says:

    Does it mean that u see everything? i mean, everything the doctor is doing?
    Or will u loose sight after certain time during the surgery?

  24. VirgilVicious says:

    @sherry3030 Right after the surgery everything was kinda blurry. so i could kinda see. i could take the bandages off the 2nd day of recovery though and could see fine but could still feel the soreness in my eyes.

  25. VirgilVicious says:

    @starsandsea you have to be conscious though. if you sleep during surgery your eyes can wonder while you dream and it can make it very difficult during surgery. i know it sucks.
